Service Description: This data identifies cruise ship port-of-calls or near-shore anchorages without large scale Electronic Nautical Chart (ENC) coverage, defined as ENC bands 4, 5, or 6. These ports were found using 18 months of satellite AIS data covering the following dates:
July 2012 - June 2013; Aug-Sept 2013; Jan-Feb 2014; July - Aug 2014.
ENC coverage was based on ENCs available in July 2015. Contact Anthony Klemm from NOAA's Office of Coast Survey for more information on this dataset at anthony.r.klemm@noaa.gov.
